Should we claim Ollie Gordon after Miami's backfield changed? We should, because the handoffs already reached him before De'Von Achane moved to the reserve list. In FCT's Week 3 data, Gordon carried 17 times against KC. Add him for the rushing work, then check his next carries before starting him. We'd change that recommendation if the workload retreats despite Achane's reserve designation.

We can use targets, touches and scoring finishes to guide the remaining lineup and waiver decisions. Monday night's game is still ahead.

ATL at GB: Start Atlanta's volume, sit Jonnu Smith

Player Pos FCT's Week 3 Box Score Half-PPR Points
Drake LondonATL WR 9 catches on 10 targets, 194 receiving yards; 66 offensive snaps 23.9
Bijan RobinsonATL RB 29 carries, 194 rushing yards, 2 rushing touchdowns; 2 catches on 2 targets, 19 receiving yards; 51 offensive snaps 34.3
Jonnu SmithGB TE 2 catches on 3 targets, 16 receiving yards; 22 offensive snaps 2.6

Bijan Robinson carried 29 times in Week 3 at GB. That many handoffs gave him repeated chances to produce, so we would keep him in the lineup even though the yardage from this game is a demanding expectation. Drake London drew 10 targets in the same game. Start London for the passing work; his next target count will tell us more than another attempt to match this receiving finish.

Jonnu Smith drew three targets against ATL in Week 3. A tight end needs passes sent his way to make a dependable start, and this game offered few. Sit Jonnu Smith if the next box score shows a similarly small target count. More receiving chances would reopen the decision.

CAR at CLE: Add Harold Fannin for the targets

Player Pos FCT's Week 3 Box Score Half-PPR Points
Harold FanninCLE TE 7 catches on 9 targets, 51 receiving yards, 2 receiving touchdowns; 60 offensive snaps 20.6
Deshaun WatsonCLE QB 30 pass attempts, 144 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns; 11 carries, 45 rushing yards; 69 offensive snaps 20.3
Denzel BostonCLE WR 2 catches on 4 targets, 41 receiving yards; 62 offensive snaps 7.1
Jalen CokerCAR WR 2 catches on 4 targets, 18 receiving yards; 28 offensive snaps 2.8

Harold Fannin drew nine targets against CAR in Week 3. Add him if tight end is a waiver need. His touchdowns made the result stand out, but the passes sent his way give us a reason to follow the role beyond one scoring afternoon. Check the next box score for targets before making him an automatic start.

Deshaun Watson had 11 carries in Week 3, giving his quarterback score a rushing path alongside his passing. We would hold Deshaun Watson as an option while checking that workload. Denzel Boston and Jalen Coker each drew four targets in Week 3. Their next receiving opportunities matter more than their earlier scoring averages: we should sit Denzel Boston and Jalen Coker unless the next box score shows more passes to the receiver we are considering. For Jalen Coker in particular, a previous big fantasy return cannot create targets in the next game.

CIN at PIT: Upgrade Jaylen Warren, monitor Aaron Rodgers

Player Pos FCT's Week 3 Box Score Half-PPR Points
Aaron RodgersPIT QB 34 pass attempts, 292 passing yards, 3 passing touchdowns; 3 carries, 10 rushing yards; 62 offensive snaps 23.7
Jaylen WarrenPIT RB 17 carries, 127 rushing yards; 3 catches on 4 targets, 49 receiving yards; 56 offensive snaps 19.1
Pat FreiermuthPIT TE 2 catches on 4 targets, 30 receiving yards; 1 carry, 1 rushing yard; 37 offensive snaps 4.1

Jaylen Warren received 17 carries against CIN in Week 3 and also drew passes. Upgrade him for the next lineup decision because handoffs and receiving chances offer separate ways to score. We still need his next touch count before assuming the same workload will return.

Aaron Rodgers threw three touchdowns in Week 3. Monitor his next passing volume before treating that scoring total as a routine quarterback outcome. Pat Freiermuth had four targets in the same game. Pittsburgh's points did not turn into enough passes for him to make this a reassuring tight end start. Sit Freiermuth if his next target count stays small; a larger share would give us a reason to reconsider.

HOU at IND: Hold Jonathan Taylor through the yardage dip

Player Pos FCT's Week 3 Box Score Half-PPR Points
Keenan AllenIND WR 6 catches on 9 targets, 63 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown; 52 offensive snaps 15.3
Foster MoreauHOU TE 2 catches on 4 targets, 7 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown; 31 offensive snaps 7.7
David MontgomeryHOU RB 11 carries, 33 rushing yards; 2 catches on 2 targets, 15 receiving yards; 34 offensive snaps 5.8
Jonathan TaylorIND RB 23 carries, 68 rushing yards; 2 catches on 3 targets, 4 receiving yards; 60 offensive snaps 8.2

Jonathan Taylor carried 23 times against HOU in Week 3. Hold him despite the modest fantasy return: the handoffs still gave him a path to a better result if he gains more from them next time. David Montgomery had 11 carries at IND in Week 3. Downgrade Montgomery for the next start/sit choice unless his touches rise, because fewer rushing chances leave less room for an inefficient outing.

Receiving volume gives us a reason to start Keenan Allen after nine targets against HOU in Week 3. We should check whether those passes continue to come Keenan Allen's way. Foster Moreau scored for HOU, but Foster Moreau's Week 3 catches produced little yardage. We should monitor Foster Moreau's next targets before starting Foster Moreau. A touchdown helped this result; more receiving work would make the next tight end decision sturdier.

KC at MIA: Claim Ollie Gordon, then verify the handoffs

Player Pos FCT's Week 3 Box Score Half-PPR Points
Ollie GordonMIA RB 17 carries, 41 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown; 3 catches on 3 targets, 14 receiving yards; 61 offensive snaps 13.0
Chris BellMIA WR 4 catches on 7 targets, 67 receiving yards; 52 offensive snaps 8.7
De'Von AchaneMIA RB 3 carries, 17 rushing yards; 1 target; 4 offensive snaps 1.7
Ryan MillerMIA WR 2 catches on 3 targets, 15 receiving yards; 16 offensive snaps 2.5

Ollie Gordon played 61 offensive snaps against KC in Week 3. His carries make him the waiver claim from this game, and De'Von Achane's subsequent move to the reserve list adds urgency. Claim Gordon now. Bench him unless his next box score confirms that the rushing workload stayed with him; the transaction alone cannot tell us how Miami will distribute its handoffs.

Chris Bell caught four passes on seven targets in Week 3. We can monitor Chris Bell for receiver depth and look for another game with passing chances before starting Chris Bell. Ryan Miller drew three targets in Week 3, which gives us less to use in a lineup. We should sit Ryan Miller until the next box score shows more opportunities. Ollie Gordon's observed touches make the claim easier to act on than either receiver's start.

LAC at BUF: Add Tre' Harris for receiving depth

Player Pos FCT's Week 3 Box Score Half-PPR Points
Keaton MitchellLAC RB 8 carries, 52 rushing yards; 3 catches on 3 targets, -5 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown; 26 offensive snaps 12.2
Tre' HarrisLAC WR 6 catches on 7 targets, 76 receiving yards; 40 offensive snaps 10.6
Dalton KincaidBUF TE 2 catches on 3 targets, 38 receiving yards; 44 offensive snaps 2.8
Josh AllenBUF QB 26 pass attempts, 204 passing yards; 8 carries, 22 rushing yards, 2 rushing touchdowns; 1 catch on 1 target, 1 receiving yard; 66 offensive snaps 19.0

Tre' Harris caught six passes at BUF in Week 3. Add him if a receiver claim can help our bench, then use his next target count to decide whether he belongs in a lineup. The catches give us a receiving reason for the move without asking him to score.

Keaton Mitchell found the end zone as a receiver, but his Week 3 rushing workload was eight carries. Stash him if there is room to wait for more touches; starting him requires more evidence of repeatable work. Dalton Kincaid drew three targets against LAC in Week 3. Sit him if the next box score brings another small target count. Josh Allen scored as a runner in the same game. Hold Josh Allen while checking his passing and rushing work rather than turning a lower fantasy finish than his earlier games into a bench call.

NYJ at DET: Add Kenyon Sadiq, hold Breece Hall

Player Pos FCT's Week 3 Box Score Half-PPR Points
Kenyon SadiqNYJ TE 7 catches on 8 targets, 105 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown; 38 offensive snaps 20.0
Geno SmithNYJ QB 37 pass attempts, 321 passing yards, 3 passing touchdowns; 2 carries, 12 rushing yards; 66 offensive snaps 26.0
Breece HallNYJ RB 13 carries, 32 rushing yards; 3 catches on 3 targets, 23 receiving yards; 32 offensive snaps 7.0
Amon-Ra St. BrownDET WR 4 catches on 8 targets, 19 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown; 48 offensive snaps 9.9

Eight targets in Week 3 give us a reason to add Kenyon Sadiq if we need a tight end. We should use the next target count before treating the touchdown and this finish as usual. Geno Smith attempted 37 passes in Week 3. We should track Geno Smith's next passing volume before expecting a similar quarterback result.

The touches give us a reason to hold Breece Hall: 13 carries at DET in Week 3, plus passes drawn. We should check the next box score before changing Breece Hall's lineup place. Amon-Ra St. Brown drew eight targets against NYJ in Week 3 despite a modest yardage return. We should hold Amon-Ra St. Brown too. The passes were there; the next catches and yardage will show us whether this result warrants a tougher start/sit choice.

ARI at SF: Add Michael Wilson, trust George Kittle

Player Pos FCT's Week 3 Box Score Half-PPR Points
Michael WilsonARI WR 11 catches on 17 targets, 89 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown; 81 offensive snaps 20.4
George KittleSF TE 6 catches on 7 targets, 82 receiving yards, 2 receiving touchdowns; 46 offensive snaps 23.2

The 17 targets in Week 3 give us a reason to add Michael Wilson where available. We should look at the next target count before relying on the same opportunity in a lineup. If those chances shrink, we should scale back the start.

George Kittle scored twice against ARI in Week 3. Keep starting him, but judge the next game by the passes he draws rather than demanding another pair of touchdowns. The scoring plays raised this week's finish; receiving opportunities will give us a clearer read on what can repeat.

Carry Gordon into waivers and check his next carries before making the start. For lineup decisions, compare the next targets for Fannin, Harris, Sadiq and Wilson, and watch whether Taylor and Hall keep getting handoffs.
